Dr. Greger Brings "How Not To Die" to PBS

Image
I am so delighted that PBS is bringing "How Not To Die" to the masses. Dr. Michael Greger is the ideal person to educate people about the importance of a plant-based diet.  Thank you PBS and Dr. Greger!  Check your local channels and/or wait for PBS to post it on their site.  As soon as it is available, I will post it here. https://www.plantbasednews.org/post/top-plant-based-physician-dr-michael-greger-to-premiere-pbs-tv-special-next-week Image via Plant Based News. BEYOND MEAT: 100% Plant-based Protein - COMPLETELY DELICIOUS!

Image
Beyond Meat is a a meat-substitute that is the real deal when it comes to delivering a product similar to beef (I have only tried one product thus far...and I am hooked).  Not only does it look like beef, but BEYOND BEEF has nailed the visual look and mouth-feel texture of beef; it is a plant-based pea protein that is free of soy and gluten, as well as relatively free of whacky food additives. Beyond Meat also has chicken substitutes, beef crumbles (my first product), and Beast Burgers, all of which are non-GMO pea protein (or in some products soy) and 100% plant-based.  I cannot wait to try it in my homemade spaghetti sauce, of course, I will have to write another post suggesting the best gluten-free pasta choices and/or substitutes around.  They also offer a 1.00 off coupon on their website: http://beyondmeat.com/products http://beyondmeat.com/products

Making Life Simple: Raw Chia Pudding Recipe

Image
One of my favorites is from the fabulous Young On Raw Food website, where Mimi Kirk demonstrates and lives a life of raw health and fun.  She graciously has shared several raw recipes to help the novice or expand an experienced vegan/vegetarian's recipe box.  Make and enjoy her delicious recipe for chia pudding - the perfect summer time treat. http://youngonrawfood.com/raw-chia-pudding-recipe/
