BEYOND MEAT: 100% Plant-based Protein - COMPLETELY DELICIOUS!

Image
Beyond Meat is a a meat-substitute that is the real deal when it comes to delivering a product similar to beef (I have only tried one product thus far...and I am hooked).  Not only does it look like beef, but BEYOND BEEF has nailed the visual look and mouth-feel texture of beef; it is a plant-based pea protein that is free of soy and gluten, as well as relatively free of whacky food additives. Beyond Meat also has chicken substitutes, beef crumbles (my first product), and Beast Burgers, all of which are non-GMO pea protein (or in some products soy) and 100% plant-based.  I cannot wait to try it in my homemade spaghetti sauce, of course, I will have to write another post suggesting the best gluten-free pasta choices and/or substitutes around.  They also offer a 1.00 off coupon on their website: http://beyondmeat.com/products http://beyondmeat.com/products

Don't Believe the Hype: Cancer Cure Myths

Image
The one thing everyone needs to know about cancer...it is mysterious.  Not only is every cancer unique in its methods of operation, but it is unique to each human being.  It seems the war on scientific, logical, and reasoned approaches to cancer treatment is suspect, but it is only suspect to those who live in fear (one way or another).  A diagnosis of cancer is scary, but it can be managed in a logical manner using an integrative approach.  The link below is simply a guide to use in order to avoid cancer myths that will not help your hope for a cancer cure.  Eat organic, eat those superfoods because they are a good source of nutrition, but don't believe they will cure cancer.  Eat well to support your body.  Don't believe the hype!   http://scienceblog.cancerresearchuk.org/2014/03/24/dont-believe-the-hype-10-persistent-cancer-myths-debunked/

The Real Deal: A Certified Nutritionist with a Background in Authentic Research

Image
Accurate nutrition informatin is so critical to your health that one must receive it from a reliable source with an education that includes critical thinking and focused research skills. With all the online "health coaches" or "not really a degree holistic nutritionists" you need a true advocate who is learned in seeking out authentic, science-based studies to translate accurate information.  Check out Erika Herman, author and certified nutritionist (as well as UCLA educated in Writing and Literature), to  help enhance your health and nutrition knowledge.  She is an articulate, expressive, and enthusiastic nutrition educator, with a sense of humor, as you can see. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjQK2adjqto
